PokerStar’s Poker Rooms in New York?

Reports of the expansion of New York state land gambling facilities have made news over the last few months and it's once again the focal point as reports of poker rooms from PokerStars being included in future land based casinos surfaces. According to such reports, Rational Group lobbyist, Stuart Shorenstein, attended a meeting with New York governor Andrew Cuomo's staff last month recommending consideration of intrastate legalization of online poker. Details as to the result of this meeting are not known; however legalizing online poker would draw in much needed revenue in New York if included in the governor's plans to open as many as seven additional land based casinos.
