Players who make the final table can expect hefty payouts. Rob Yong, poker chief at Dusk Til Dawn Nottingham, announced a GBP 1 million guaranteed prize pool at the main event of the UKIPT live poker tournament stop in Nottingham, with a buy-in of GBP 1,100.
The tournament is planned to start on May 7th, with three Day 1 flights to accommodate what is expected to be a large amount of people coming. Players will start with 20,000 chip stacks and one re-entry allowed per day.
Over the week players get to participate in a poker festival hosted by Dusk Til Dawn, featuring two main events: a High Roller competition with a buy-in of a GBP 3,000 and a guaranteed prize pool of a GBP 300,000 and a Nottingham Cup event featuring a GBP 100,000 prize pool with a GBP 330 buy-in.
Players who don't have the money for big buy-ins can compete for seats online at a more modest cost. Pokerstars made this possible, offering a series of online qualifying satellites.
