American poker pro James Carroll went up against 717 players and secured the largest win of his career on Saturday when he won the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star tournament in San Jose, California.
Carroll snagged a $1,256,550 prize and also won a $15,000 seat in the WPT World Championships taking place in April.
On day 4, the final table included Carroll, Mukul Pahuja, Dylan Wilkerson, Shaun Suller, Nam Le and Garrett Greer which led to a heads up between Carroll and Wilkerson. Carroll took the lead with 12,450,000 chips leaving Wilkerson with a runner up check for $728,650.
