The publication iGaming Player wrote regarding rumors that PokerStars has teamed up with the Morongo Band of Mission Indians in California as the issue of legalized online poker is on the table for the state.
At the moment, there are two online poker bills pending with "bad actor" clauses being considered.
PokerStars continues to become licensed in New Jersey and turns its attention to California due to the commercial opportunities available once online poker is legal.
There have been no comments from either PokerStars or The Rational Group regarding the rumors.
