UK Nails Down Player Protection Regulations
The UK Gambling Commission will deal with protecting player funds by requiring operators to use separate bank accounts to differentiating player funds from operational cash flow. Regulations will also be put in place that will require operators to notify punters of the arrangements in the event of insolvency. Operators must also provide regularly reports regarding the money in the player fund accounts. The Commission allowed the practice of transferring money between skins in an online poker network, making it a violation for operators to consider money owed to them by players with other operators on a network.
