Two California Tribes Agree on Legalized Online Poker Regulations
As the issue of legalized online poker in California moves forward, the San Manuel Band of Serrano Mission Indians and the Pechanga Band of LuiseƱo Indians seem to agree on how they believe it should be regulated. Various groups are now saying that legalization is possible in California and would not affect land based casino operations. The Pechanga and San Manuel representatives met in San Diego to discuss several aspects of legalization including: * Licensees should have a two website maximum per licensee; * The exclusion of horse-racing tracks in any future intrastate online poker arrangement; * A requirement for "bad actor" provisions. The San Manuel and Pechanga groups must now present their stance to state legislature regarding the two current bills.
