After the conclusion of WSOP events 12 and 13 on Thursday, poker pro Daniel Negreanu just missed his seventh World Series of Poker bracelet.
Event 12 was a 1,500 buy-in Pot Limit Hold'Em contest with 557 entrants and a prize pool of $751,950. Greg Kolo played a good game and faced Kazu Oshima in a six hand heads up. Oshima walked away with $104,513 as Kolo earned his first WSOP bracelet and top prize of $169,225.
In Event 13, Negreanu and Paul Volpe faced off at the final table in the $10,000 buy-in No Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball championship competition involving 87 participants and an $817,800 prize pool.
It took 85 hands but Volpe sent Negreanu on his way with the runner up prize of $156,674. Volpe earned his first bracelet and a $253,524 pay day.
