WSOP Events 17 and 18 Come to a Close on Sunday
Two additional World Series of Poker events came to a close on Sunday evening with Dan Heimiller and George Danzer winning event 17 Seniors NLHE Championship and event 18, a $10,000 buy-in Seven Card Razz competition respectively. Event 17 generated 4,425 participants with $3,982,500 up for grabs. The final table consisted of David Smith, Anthony Wise, former WSOP champ Dennis Phillips, David Tran, Doc Barry, David Vida and Jim Custer, Dan Heimiller and Donald Maas. Heimiller and Maas entered the heads up with lasted six hands and left Maas with the runner up prize of $627,462 and Heimiller taking first prize of $388,054 and his second WSOP bracelet. Additional Event 17 Payouts: 3rd Dave Smith $279,412 4th Anthony Wise $206,492 5th Dennis Phillips $153,833 6th David Tran $115,651 7th Doc Barry $87,615 8th David Vida $66,945 9th Jim Custer $51,573 Event 18 was a $10,000 buy-in Seven Card Razz contest with 112 registered players and a prize pool of $1,052,800. George Danzer, Brandon Shack-Harris, Todd Barlow, Yuval Bronshtein, Brian Hastings, Todd Dakake, Naoya Kihara and David Bach made it to the final table. In the Danzer won his first WSOP bracelet and first prize of $294,792 while Shack-Harris took second place and $182,155.
