Prague to Host Three Major Live Tournament Poker Tours in December
Throughout December the beautiful Czech capital, Prague will be the scene of three separate major live tournament poker tours-the World Poker Tour, the European Poker Tour and Ongame's Grand Series of Poker. Around 70 competitions will host poker fans providing almost three weeks of action. The World Poker Tour kicks the festival off at the Corinthian on December 1 with a Euro 120 buy-in NLHE event as part of the WPT National Prague, a tourney comprised of nine different events including a Euro 750 buy-in Big Stack NLHE, a Euro 2,000 buy-in NLHE main event, and a Euro 3,000 buy-in PLO Championship. Among operators adding a little diversity to the action in Prague is Tonybet and Redbet. Tonybet will host Open Face Chinese live tourney action with two single-day pineapple events, again at the Corinthian on December 8 and 9, featuring buy-ins for both championship competition and High Roller competition. Redbet will be providing 10 events over four days as part of its popular Redbet Live series, with the main event scheduled for December 10. Pokerstars will be hosting the action at Prague Hilton with two key tourneys the European Poker Tour Prague and the Eureka Poker Tour Prague, which have between them 45 competitions and will last 10 days starting on December 7. Pokerstars is also presenting the a Euro 50,000 buy-in Super High Roller on December 9. These Prague-based events are predicted to have a huge turnover numbered in thousands, many of them being top world professionals in pursuit of large prizes. Also present in Prague will be the Asian Poker Tour, as a new arrival, with its first Euro 1,100 buy-in event scheduled for December 16.
