PartyPoker and Borgata Work on Site Crashes
PartyPoker and Borgata have taken to online forums to update New Jersey players on the steps being taken to address recent system crashes. The MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class) errors seem to occur when an action is taken within the Microsoft Foundation Class library that is not anticipated by the software. According to the Online Poker Update publication, "...the most common causes are bugs in the software, memory leaks, or bugs in a program the software is attempting to access." Crashes have affected players within a hand resulting in the playing being booted from the table or causing them to be unable to see their hole cards once they log in again. The exact cause of the issues has not yet been identified but reports indicate that it could be related to poor memory allocation.
