Aussie Millions Gets Good Start
The opening of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship got off to a good start with a field of 1,211 participants in the A$1,150 buy-in event, which resulted in a $215,000 win for Australian player Vic Spadavecchia. The competition began with four starting days where 108 players were eliminated. Eventually Spadavecchia, Derek Wolters, Amer Akkari, Andrew Hinrichsen, George Tang, Robert Raymond, Don Mishra, Camil Debsia and Robert Spano made it to the final table. Amer Akkari came in third place taking A$117,000 and leaving Spadavecchia to enter the heads up with Derek Wolters and sending him home A$152,000 richer with the runner up prize.
