Poker pro, Taylor Paur of California, has nearly doubled his career winnings and his first WPT title with a $1.2 million win in the $7,500 buy-in 2015 World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star main event.
Paur was the last man standing in a field of 707 participants and after a tense heads up against Isaac Baron.
The final table was comprised of Paur, Baron, Sorel Mizzi, Jacob Bazeley, Faraz Jaka and Ravee Mathi.
Following 170 hands, Baron and Paur entered into the heads up but in the end Baron took the runner-up prize of $704,200.
