Apr 26, 2015
Beijing media have reported that local police have stepped in forcing the cancellation of a gay poker race. The "Gaymazing Poker Race" was to involve teams of four racing to play a full hand of poker at six bars on Saturday to raise money for Beijing LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) Centre, a non-profit, organization. Police visited the centre and canceled the event at the last minute. Sponsor Great Leap Brewing said in a statement, "Unfortunately, due to concerns beyond our control, the Beijing LGBT Center along with Great Leap Brewing are sad to announce that the 2015 Gaymazing Race will be postponed until a further date."
