A bill to ban Nevada interstate player pooling for online poker was presented to Nevada legislature earlier in the year but was unable to make it past the committee stage.
The bill, AB414, was said to be another of Sheldon Adelson's attacks on online gambling although this was not confirmed.
It was designed to change current legislation, which allows the governor of Nevada to enter into interstate player pooling agreements with other states, requiring agreements to be made only with regard to online poker and would also define it.
The sponsor behind the bill is unknown and attracted a lot of industry interest considering the restrictions on poker as it's the only legalized form of internet gambling in Nevada.
