Michael Wang Wins First WSOP Gold Winner’s Bracelet
Michael Wang, 26 of New Jersey, has snagged his first World Series of Poker gold winner's bracelet and $466,120 in the $5,000 buy-in NLHE competition at the Rio in Las Vegas. The event attracted 422 entrants with pro players such as Brian Hastings, Kevin McPhee, Jeremy Ausmus and Andrew Frankenberger, who also made it to the final table with Wang, Bryn Kenney, Artur Koren, Greg Merson, Jason Wheeler, Amir Lehavot, Joe Ebanks, Long Nguyen, Byron Kaverman and Doc Sands. Kenney faced Wang in the heads up and remained in the lead for quite a while but eventually Wang stepped up his game putting Kenney in the runner up position with $287,870.
