Sam Greenwood of Toronto took down WSOP Event 22, a $1,000 buy-in NLHE contest, on Thursday marking the first win for Canada in this series.
The event attracted 1,914 participants and Greenwood played well to win his first WSOP bracelet and $318,977 of the $1.72 million prize pool.
He entered the heads up against 23-year-old Seattle pro Cole Jackson to earn his largest win to date.
Jackson finished as the runner up with $197,254.
