Some of the biggest names in poker were in line to register for Day 1C of the World Series of Poker Main Event.
Day 1C set a record with 3,963 players including top international players, previous WSOP main event winners and celebrities.
Officials say it was the largest single start day in WSOP's 47 year history and making the total number of entries for the 2015 Main Event to 6,420 with a prize pool of $60,348,000.
The payout structure will see the winner receive $7,680,021, final table'ers will receive seven-figure payouts and the top 1,000 entrants will cash a minimum of $15,000 each.
Last year's champion, Martin Jacobson, gave the traditional shuffle up and deal call, but was unfortunately among the day's casualties, along with other previous main event champions Greg Merson, Joe Cada and Jerry Yang.
Day 1A and 1B saw 1,624 players advance and Day 1C saw over 2,500 players advance.
