Majority of MicroMillions Action Came from Russian Players
PokerStars released the figures for the 10-day MicroMillions online tournament and they show that the majority of the action came from Russian players. Registration stats revealed that 161,939 Russian players entered the tournament, cashing 23,843 times, with 15 event and prize winners totalling $777,209. German players followed with 96,763 participants, 13,968 cashes and $483,865 in prize money. Brazil came in third with 81,495 sign ups and $423,493 in prize money. This was the 11th edition of the $22 buy-in main event, which drew in enough entrants ensuring that the guaranteed $1 million prize pool was met. Nolet20, of Canada, won first prize of $89,854 after a five-way chop.
