Makarios Avramidis Wins Event 1 of WSOP Europe in Berlin
As of Sunday, German restaurant owner and poker player, Makarios Avramidis, won Euro 105,000 and a Gold bracelet in event 1 of the World Series of Poker Europe in Berlin. A total of 197 participants registered for the Euro 2,200 buy-in Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em competition. Avramidis sat at a final table with German pro Marvin Rettenmaier, 2015 WSOP bracelet winner Paul Michaelis and Stephen Chidwick of the UK, who has made 10 WSOP final tables. German player Frederic Schwarzer entered into the heads up round with Avramidis facing and eventually took second place for Euro 65,000.
