Back Winner to be Sent to WPT Venice via Revolution Poker Network Sites

The top two poker rooms on the Revolution Poker Network are currently holding an online satellite tournament series this October, in order to name a winner who will be sent to the romantic city of Venice, Italy. Juicy Stakes and Intertops Poker will select an individual to participate in the WPT National, which is set to take place this December at Casino de Venezia, the oldest gaming facility on the planet.

It consists of a three-tier series, of which Step 1 tournaments are currently running and will continue until October 17th. Players do not have to participate in all tiers for a chance to be named champion, and can buy-in at any point. The Final is scheduled for 1:00 pm Eastern, on October 18th, and will award the winner with a $2200 prize package, including a $990 buy-in to the main event, as well as $500 to put toward travel expenses, and four paid nights of accommodations.

The most recent WPT winner, Lukas W., was sent to Venice as well. The 28-year old, civil servant from Germany, competed this past April, but was unfortunately eliminated before making it very far.

He recounted his experience in the Living Dream poker player blog, and stated, “At the end of Day 1 I was busted. It was time to enjoy Venice with my girlfriend!”

December 4th has been set as the start date for the main event, with a Final Table scheduled for December 7th.
