Bryan Micon, the owner of Bitcoin operation Seals With Clubs, returned to the US from Antigua when the Nevada authorities raided his home earlier this year and has recently been sentenced for the illegal operation of the site.
According to the Associated Press, a Las Vegas court imposed a $25,000 fine plus two years of probation. Micon forfeited 3.0996 in bitcoin credits, $900 in cash and computers as part of the agreement made for his felony charge.
Should he violate his probation, Micon will face 2 years in state prison.
Nevada AG Adam Laxalt has said that the bitcoin and illegal online gambling prosecution was the first of its kind.
