Jared Mahoney Emerges as WPT Montreal Title Winner

Jared Mahoney emerged as the winner of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Montreal title after facing three-time WPT finalist Darryll Fish in a tense 10-hour heads up. A total of 697 participants registered for the event, which generated a CAD$2.3 million prize pool. Mahoney received a CAD $453,122 check plus the title, a US $15,400 seat into the WPT Tournament of Champions, a special Championship belt from Playground Poker and a Hublot Oceanographic 4000 watch. “I knew it was going to be extremely tough but I knew from the beginning that I was going to go for first place,” said Mahoney.
