New ‘Knockout Poker’ Tournament Format from PokerStars
PokerStars is introducing something new to its loyal band of followers. Regarded as the largest, online poker cardroom, it has just launched a new concept, referred to as 'Knockout Poker.' Aside from being a totally fresh tournament format, a number of unique characteristics set it apart from the standard makeup. For starters, the prize money will be split directly in half. This means that one equal half will go toward the prize pool, while the other goes to the 'knockouts,' or the players who successfully eliminate opponents from the tournament. Ultimately, what this means for players, is that they can earn cash prizes, without actually winning the tournament as a whole. Additionally, players can look forward to an easy-to-learn format, drawing in a wider audience. To introduce its latest tournament concept, PokerStars will be delivering Knockout Poker in a selection of formats. This will include 36-player hyper-turbo sit'n go (SNG), complete with $1 and $5 buy-ins, along with 24-player hyper-turbo SNG, complete with $10 buy-ins, and 6-player variants with $1.50, $3.50 and $7 buy-ins. Also, in an effort to celebrate its arrival, new registrants can also take advantage of an assortment of promotional offers, based on the first two deposits made to their player accounts. Individuals can qualify for such bonuses now through May 13th, with full details listed at the site. You won't find Knockout Poker anywhere else, as it is exclusively available at PokerStars. Promotional marketing is expected to be completed by Brazilian football team captain, Neymar Jr., via TV campaigns on both European and Latin American networks. Neymar Jr. commented, “I love winning on the football pitch, and I love the opportunity to win instantly in Knockout Poker. It takes an ordinary game of poker and makes it more fun, with more winning moments.”
