Wynn Casino Opens New Poker Room
Think poker is losing popularity? Ask many analysts and they will tell you that poker is on the decline and will never match the success it saw on the early 2000's. While the part of about it never reaching the same popularity during the Moneymaker boom is likely correct, poker is far from dead and seems to be only getting stronger. Ask the owners of the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas if they think poker is a dying game and they will show you their brand new poker room that just opened on Thursday. The Wynn is known for having one of the poker rooms in the world, and this was before they made it even better. A new facility will host cash games primarily and is 62% larger. And while you may think the added space was just to fit more tables in, you would be correct; but mostly wrong. Tables increased from 25 to 28, which isn't what you may have expected. Many of the newly created floor space is being used for amenities and aesthetic features. Having more room allows for tables to be spaced further apart instead of crammed together like they used to be. When compared to other poker rooms in Vegas, The Wynn's has the most space of any – allowing players to move around and play in a more comfortable atmosphere. More space wasn't the only addition. Poker players now have their own restrooms in the dedicated poker room. They will also have their own sports betting window. And to see if they won their bets, 37 HD TVs have been added to the room. It's obvious that the Wynn is catering to poker players and with all they have done, why would anyone want to play anywhere else. If you didn't think they could have done a better job in giving players what they wanted – USB charging stations have installed at every seat. Of all the features, this one will likely be the most beloved. For high stakes players, four new high stakes tables were put in place with a separate cashier's cage just for them. This means they don't have to walk through the casino floor with stacks of chips. When you carry that much money around, it's nice to have a dedicated area in private to handle your business. It seems The Wynn has thought of everything and created the perfect poker room.
