Erik Seidel and 'Rounders'
Possibly Erik's most famous poker moment came about in 1988 and is most probably one that he himself would rather forget. In Erik's first World Series of Poker appearance he reached the final table at the WSOP Main Event, but was beaten by Johnny Chan. However, the element that makes this final table unforgettable is that it was featured in the movie 'Rounders'. The film includes repeated clips of the action at the 1988 final table. It should be pointed out that although he lost – just reaching the final table was a great achievement, especially for a first time WSOP tournament player.
Erik Seidel appears to have experienced the most success when playing at No Limit Hold'em tournaments and over the years he has won over $9m in winnings at different poker tournaments.
