Johnny Lodden

Johnny Lodden has been making quite a name for himself in online poker for quite a few years now. He has also been making quite a name for himself in the European live poker scene. Lodden also did very well at the 2010 WSOP coming in 27th. Although Lodden isn’t yet one of the most popular poker pros in the US, it’s clear to see that he is well on his way to making a name for himself everywhere and definitely one player to keep your eyes on. He has been making great strides in the poker scene and has amazing talent which has taken him far and should continue to do so.

Lodden was raised in Jorpeland, Norway. His card playing interest grew from playing cards with his family and friends. His first game of real interest was the popular card game Uno. When Lodden was just 15 years of age, he began playing poker with his school friends for money. By the time he had turned 20, he began taking PokerStars by storm. He started in the lower stakes games, but quickly rose to playing in the highest stakes games on the popular online poker site. Lodden had come a long way with his online poker career in a short amount of time and it became apparent that this was one poker player to keep pay attention to.

Lodden started becoming more involved with the land based poker scene as well. He took the 2004 St Maarten Open; this would be Lodden’s first live tournament win. He won $26,430 in the No Limit Holdem event and gathered quite a bit of attention for himself. Lodden became a highly recognizable player on the EPT tour in 2006 and had the other players quickly taking note of his talent. He played as a PokerStars sponsored player. He became one of the players to watch out for. It became apparent that he had no problem transitioning from online poker to live poker and he would do well in either setting. In three years he had won himself $245,000 with his EPT cash finishes. He also came in 17th at the Monte Carlo Grand final which took place in 2008. Lodden has earned himself quite a bit of money from his poker playing talent.

Lodden also has other interests besides playing excellent poker. He is also a big fan of sports. One of his favorite sports is soccer. He also enjoys just about every sport that you can play on; this includes a whole lot of sports! In his spare time Lodden likes to travel around the world with his close friends and take in the sights. Lodden prefers to visit the warmer climates and spend some time just relaxing as he gears up for his next poker event. Lodden can often be spotted enjoying poker at PokerStars where he plays under his screen name “JohnnyLodden” which makes him easy to spot. This is one poker player to be on the lookout for.
