Men Nguyen

Men Nguyen is a very well known poker pro who is also known for having a big heart. Nguyen is recognized as being very generous and helping others by using his poker talent and the money from his winnings in order to help others back in his home country of Vietnam. He is also quite generous with his time and knowledge when it comes to helping new poker players. Nguyen has led an interesting life, he was only 13 years of age when he quit going to school and began driving a bus in order to help his family financially. In 1978 Nguyen fled to the US with 87 others, finding freedom and hope in the United States. Nguyen found a job working as a machinist making a measly $10 for an entire days work. It was 1985 when Nguyen visited Las Vegas and lost his money playing Stud. However, something good came from that visit, Nguyen found a love for the game and returned one week later and saw much better results. Now, he has become one of the top poker pros and is generally the center of attention at any poker event he participates in. The good news for Nguyen is he knows how to use the other players focusing on him to his advantage.

Nguyen has earned himself seven WSOP bracelets which he won in varying poker events which included two in 1992, one in 1995, one in 1996, two in 2003, and one in 2010. Nguyen also took first place in the Pot Limit Holdem and the Omaha Hi Lo events at the WPC. He also took first in the mixed games at Legends of Poker. It would be difficult to list all of the table appearances that Nguyen has made. His poker career is both fascinating and very impressive. Nguyen has earned himself more than $8,500,000 so far by using his talents at the poker table.

Nguyen makes no secret of the fact that he loves the game of Stud. He has a real love for the game, the events, and the competition. However, it’s his ability to play poker well which has earned him the title “The Master”. It’s always nice to see someone with so much talent use it for good and spread it around. Although his poker career in itself is one thing that is extremely impressive and the reason so many people are familiar with his name; his generosity and willingness to help others is something else about Nguyen which is more than noteworthy and bears mentioning again.
