To date, as a professional poker player, Padraig Parkinson has made more than $1 million in poker tournament winnings at various events in different places around the world.
Probably the first major poker event that brought public attention to Padraig within poker circles was at the 1999 World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournament. At this series, Padraig had a successful run in the WSOP No Limit Hold'Em event. In this event, he finished in 3rd place and managed to win the considerable sum of $489,125 for his efforts.
Other significant win in Padraig's career history includes the WSOP No Limit Hold'Em event of 2006. At this tournament, Padraig finished in 3rd place, earning the impressive prize winnings of $203,139.
Padraig's most recent significant win took place in December 2009 at the Poker Stars UK and Ireland Tour (UKIPT). This was the first event of its kind that was held in Ireland. Padraig finished in first place in the No Limit Hold'Em main event and earned prize money in the amount of $179,314. In winning the first UKIPT event, he also won himself a seat for the London EPT.
