Patrik Antonius used to play poker with his friends already as a 12 year old growing up in Finland. Antonius left Finland to develop his poker play in the US. It was there that he won a seat in the WSOP though a satellite and he himself names this as one of the most important moments in his early poker career. Perhaps it was her advice that let him win over Brad Booth when he showed up at the next Poker After Dark. In September 2008 he finished second in the Full Tilt Poker Pot Limit Omaha Championship which won him $320,000.
