The Orleans; Best Poker Rooms

The last few years have seen a major reshuffling of poker rooms in Las Vegas. Some casinos have discontinued their poker rooms, while others have limited the number of tables they operate. Binion;s Horseshoe, for example, has reduced the size of its poker room and lost the glamour that once ranked the Horseshoe at the top of the list.

But despite the failure of some casino poker rooms, the good news is The New Orleans on Tropicana Road. Named the 'Best Poker Room' in Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Orleans has learned the secret of operating a good poker room: Cater to your players.

I cannot emphasize this too much; poker room management must listen to their players. If they don't, they will lose their players to other poker rooms.

The Orleans has 35 poker tables and they keep those tables filled by providing the players with what they want in tournaments and cash games. 'the Monday through Thursday tournament schedule is a perfect example of what I am talking about.

If you are an Omaha High-Low player like me, you have probably been doing a desperate search to find a casino that hosts high-low tournaments. You need look no farther: The Orleans holds a variation of high-low tournaments during weekdays.

Monday at 12:05 p.m., The Orleans poker room spreads a $100 buy-in limit Omaha 8 or better tournament. Management has guaranteed a minimum $5,000 will be paid to the winners.

Tuesday at 7 p.m., The Orleans holds a $120 buy-in pot-limit Omaha game, again with a $5,000 guarantee.

On Wednesday at 12:05 p.m., the poker room will hold a 4100 buy-in Omaha 8 or better, seven card stud 8 or better tournament, $5,000 guaranteed.

On Thursdays at 7:05 p.m. the tournament is a $100 buy-in Omaha 8 or better tournament. And on Sundays at 7:05 p.m., you can play in a H.O.R.S.E tournament.

Poker room rates for staying at The Orleans are very low. The air-conditioned rooms are neat and comfortable. The poker room has a generous policy when it comes to paying players comps for each hour played. The food, the swimming pool, and the action are hard to beat. It's one of my favorite places to play.

The tournaments always start on time and the food will not disappoint you.

There is a horse room and a sports book just around the corner from the poker room, so if you are into horses or betting on a major league or college football, you will be accommodated. Tell them LatestCasinobBonuses.com sent you.
