  • All of a sudden today any iPoker client i load - Betfred, Coral, Paddy Power etc - has enormous CPU usage, over 30percent idle up to 100 with just a handful of tables, and I am running a monster PC here - overclocked Core i5 @ 4.5ghz - I'm unaware of the usual load level but it's DEFINITELY nothing like this - its causing the whole machine to lag horribly, I keep clicking check/bet/fold and then realising nothing has happened several seconds later. Is anybody else experiencing this? Or have you ever seen it before? Any and all help seriously appreciated :(

  • Mine is between 3% and 26% but holds pretty much at 8%.  This is bet365 with bet365 Poker Pal running too.

That's extremely high.  Have you scanned for viruses?

  • Today it is back to normal, I don't know if perhaps it is doing some kind of update in the background as I have seen it happen a couple of times in the past but it goes on for several hours, and on this machine any updates should complete in minutes at the most. Right now I get 0.2pc when first firing up the software and around 10pc with six tables, compared to last night which was 30pc and 100pc respectively . very unusual, .for now though I am just glad its fixed.

  • I'm glad it's resolved itself.  There's nothing more annoying than a slow pc particularly during poker.

  • Unibet used to be the worst for lagging and then when you keep clicking bet bet bet it bets in every hand for like 10 bloody hands! aaaah! Or how about when it won't respond at all and by very bad luck AA 1010 88 99 comes in your hole and you can't play em!!

I want to punch the screen when that happens.

One other thing annoys me with Unibet Poker and that's when you have to go out of the room, you come back and you're sitting out.  You click "I'm back" and it doesn't work until the next time you click it so you lost out on a couple of hands. Grrrrrr

  • Oh man that is brutal and you always get aces and the third hits a very dry flop :(! Betonline can be really bad for it too!!

  • Okay today I have this exact same problem once again. I downloaded process explorer which identifies a dodgy thread:

    ntdll.dll?RtlRegisterThreadWithCsrss+0x287

This single thread is consuming an entire CPU core constantly and is being called by casino.exe which is the iPoker / playtech poker application. I realise is all quite technical but I am just hoping that putting this information out here on a board as popular as LCB will result in an answer somehow being found. Searching for the thread data above in google reveals others have the same issue with ntdll.dll consuming their CPU at ridiculous levels however I am yet to find an answer. I have run a whole host of anti virus, anti spyware/malware/blablaware software and all the rest, and figure a complete re-install is long overdue anyway so may as well do it now as this problem springing up randomly could well cost me dearly if I am unable to play a poker tournament I have paid to enter suddenly.

This is the 4th time the problem has appeared randomly though, and it just seems to sort itself out the next day or whatever with no explanation whatsoever. I was wondering if it might be to do with updates from iPoker but if that was the case it would resolve itself in a few minutes surely today it is locking up 25percent CPU (quad core machine) constantly for several hours now, all of it on the one thread mentioned above... killing the thread causes the iPoker client to crash unfortunately and I am unable to work out what it refers to :(

  • I had a nose around on Google too and found this which might help:

How to Fix ntdll.dll Errors.  This also explains what the errors cause (which is basically what you have explained).

I don't know how useful this is but it's definitely worth a look.

  • this problem is comun with the I-Poker software and this is because our anti-virus deleted some DLL from the I-poker sotfware and then the poker room start crashed in order to fix it u need unistall the program and re-instal again and ofcourse give him all permissons of security with ur antivirus.

  • The Ntdll.dll file is very important file and there are many cases seen when this gets damaged then system start displaying error message. To fix it try running the SFC scan and if this won’t work for you the try download the latest one.
