The clatter of clay...
« on: January 02, 2013, 08:41:59 AM »
What is about the wonderful sound of clay poker chips when professional players "play" with them and do their chip tricks?

I just love the sound.  Plastic chips just don't do it for me.

Check out this wonderful clattery clay chip video (and a failed bluff to boot):  HERE

The sound is great and it certainly adds something special to the game. And about bluffing -  hmm... I think that's very difficult and it really is a skill.

You're so right Markotik.  Bluffing is a skill.

Have you played a game yet?

I opened an account but I didn't write down my password and I forgot it. So, when I wanted to play I realized that I couldn't log in. I expected to get a conformation email from them. Very embarrassing. So, hopefully I will play my first game soon.

Best of luck to you Markotik.  Do let us know how it goes.

(There should be a "forgot password" button or link that you can click on if you need to retrieve it.)

Yes, but it didn't work for some reason so I needed to send them an email which I did. I got my new password so I will surely play it this weekend. If I don't say anything that means only one thing :D - that it was beyond embarrassing.

It's a steep learning curve Markotik and nothing you do at the beginning can be embarrassing.  Watch the other players and make notes on them if you can (generally you can right click on a player and click on "player notes" and add one that way).  Write down what they raise with and what they bet all in with if you can.  This is valuable information you can use now and at a later date.

I wish you the best of luck and feel free to ask questions even if you think they are silly questions.  I'm here to help in any way that I can.
