videos of great plays(deception or bluffing)
« on: January 13, 2014, 09:26:49 PM »
Check out me bluffing this guy (5mins into video) by raising him with suited connectors preflop (did min raise as this rings alarm bells amongst good players)the flop came Q107 rainbow I bet 3200 he folds and I take down the pot because I cleverly raised him preflop ;)!  The reason I raised this is because if the flop made a double gutshot or 559 this guy wouldn't put me on this hand in a million years, additionally if high cards come I could have them in my hole cards.

I'll add more the problem other night was my best stuff is off video because you never know when you are going to pick up a good hand and the only free one only records 15mins of video at a time!

my bluffs have been really successful recently especially when near the end of tourneys because people are playing so tight and if they think you have the nuts or a made hand they will fold to you right away and as I constantly play aggressive they will have no idea whether I am at it or not ;)

Awesome play! Didn't realize you were a poker player. Hope you have a lot more bluffing stories to share  :)

Oh yeah lips first started for fun on interpoker about 11 years ago was introduced to it by a friend  then got back into again for real money spring 2013 or so and been improving ever since ;). I was brought up with card games as a child though gin rummy, scabby queen newmarket, whist etc we used to gamble with smarties haha! So I blame my parents for introducing me to gambling lol!! But if they hadn't I wouldn't be into slots/poker and make potential big winnings!

We used to play newmarket when I was a kid too and of course poker, cribbage, solo etc.  Some fab old card games that you rarely see played today.

2 more videos up just go through on first link above ;) annoyingly 2 of my best plays the recording ran out as its just free version I have disguised a straight by flat calling his bet kept checking till river then put in a really weak looking bet he bet back large so I go for value putting him all in and as they say the rest is history ;), just won a mega ticket at 770 first mega ticket I've won for ages!

I rarely slow play premium hands.  Seen them cracked WAY TOO MANY times at PokerStars, so I always aim for the value.

everytime I raised my premiums before everybody folded though lol and with that board they'd need a big stack to be playing a donk king with a 5 or something I was really confident I had the best hand. I would never slow play if a flush was drawing or a straight but with only straights being 5-9 or 4-8 and they called the raise did not put them on those hands ;) I think carefully you see :)

yah u got lucky there on river. this is why slow play can be bad ;)

If you raised 3xBB that guy with K8suited would have probably folded his hand. Since you only called BB and he too, he had you beaten until that 9 hit the river.
