New Record For Full Tilt Poker

Feb 02, 2009
Marketpulse numbers show third record broken this month The world's second largest standalone Internet poker website, Full Tilt Poker.com, achieved its third record in a month on January 26th 2009 according to the independent poker stats site MarketPulse. The site recorded an average of 10 433 players per hour, setting a new record in Full Tilt's history by overtaking the previous record of 10 186 set on January 13 and January 4th's then record of 9, 936 (see previous InfoPowa reports). A combination of outstanding tournaments, wide publicity and a highly participative team of pros on the site are attributed with driving its player liquidity and growth. During 2008 the company sponsored and televised events being broadcast in Germany, England, Australia, Ukraine, Russia, Spain, Italy, South Africa, France and Canada, and its Million Euro Challenge in Germany drew 6 000 visitors in one day. This week Full Tilt added Sweden's Michael Tureniec (23) to its pro team. Tureniec is the first Swedish player to join the Full Tilt team, with his most recent achievements victory in an event in Amsterdam's Master Classics of Poker, a runner-up finish at EPT London at the end of September and a good cvash in the recently completed 2009 Aussie Millions Poker Championship Main Event. Tureniec joins internationally respected poker aces such as Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson under the Full Tilt banner.
