Poker Trillion Takeover Shrouded In Mystery

The firm that once sued Boss Media for millions appears to have gone to the wall

In an unsuccessful law suit against Boss Media last year, an online poker company called Poker Trillion sought millions, yet this week it appears that the Malta-based corporate has failed, with responsibility for its players being assumed by the Everleaf Gaming Network after a period of financially related problems.

Although Everleaf has acknowledged that it will look after the Poker Trillion players, there is some confusion over other debts and obligations to former employees.

It appears that after it's bruising encounter with Boss Media, Poker Trillion left that online poker network and relocated to the Everleaf Gaming Network, which issued a statement at the end of January this (2009) year acknowledging that it had assumed full responsibility for the [unpaid] Poker Trillion players, who will join the Rockem Poker player base going forward.

"Rockem Poker will continue to offer all the benefits and rewards the players enjoyed at Poker Trillion, but in addition, Rockem Poker will also be offering 25 percent rakeback to all their players." the statement advises. "This additional bonus is paid weekly."

Unfortunately, the situation is not clear on other debts allegedly owed by Poker Trillion, which are believed to include suppliers and advertising media. Some continuity is being provided by the continued employment of the former Poker Trillion operations manager Colin Hawker, who will apparently: "...service both players and affiliates at Rockem Poker." This will be a relief for Hawker, who is apparently owed several month's wages by Poker Trillion.

The at one time voluble Poker Trillions exec Andy Pyrah has been remarkable silent about the events surrounding the takeover and financial allegations regarding the company under his stewardship, and it is not clear who actually owns Poker Trillion.
