The entry field of 391 players was up on last year's field of 366, generating a bigger prize pool for the contestants, and after almost a week of action and a six handed final table Brecher and Liebert faced off in the heads up in San Jose, California. Final tablers were Brecher holding the chip lead on 2 056 000, Tony Behari (2 046 000), Chris Moore (1 476 000) Kathy Liebert (1 180 000), Thao Le (711 000) and Chau Vu (352 000) Brecher held a 2.5 to 1 chip lead over Liebert going into the heads up, after almost 12 hours of final table action. The final table contestants were all into six-figure check territory, with second placed Liebert taking home $550 000 and the rest of the table collecting checks as follows: 3rd Place: $291 500 4th Place: $230 000 5th Place: $180 000 6th Place: $135 000
