Ultimatebet and Absolute Poker generate fund-raisers Paul Leggett, the chief executive of the Tokwiro Enterprises group, has announced that company subsidiaries Absolute Poker and Ultimatebet have started fund-raisers for the Haiti tragedy. The sites join a growing list of online gambling companies that are offering tournaments with the proceeds going to earthquake-ravaged Haiti. The Tokwiro tournaments will be held January 20 at 8.30pm Eastern Time, with a buy-in of $5 and a turbo re-buy facility, with Tokwiro matching any cash raised in the event as a charitable donation. "Along with the rest of the world, we've watched the headlines and news unfold with growing horror as the magnitude of the devastation in Haiti has been revealed," said Leggett. "We believe we have a duty to do what we can to help raise funds and awareness for the plight of the people of Haiti, and our 'Play for Haiti' tournament is one small way we can work with our players to contribute." The two online poker sites have added over $10 000 in prizes including a $2 500+$100 entry into Ultimate Bet Online Championship Event 8 for first place. All the money from the tournament will go towards the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
