The indications are that its new home will be Cake Poker Victory Poker.com, the online poker site owned by Dan Fleyshman's Who's Your Daddy energy drink company, is to move to the Cake Poker Network next (September) month, according to an unidentified Poker News Daily source this week. PND got the jump on other industry media with the news, which apparently comes from a reliable source and confirms earlier boasts by Fleyshman that he was about to make a major announcement on his birthday next month. Victory Poker launched at a glitzy event at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas in February this year, with the online poker room debuting on the merged Everleaf-UPN network, and there is speculation that its switch to Cake Poker is in search of greater player liquidity. Everleaf has a smaller player base for its member operators, who include Everleaf Poker, Minted Poker and Poker4Ever in addition to Victory. The departure is likely to have an adverse impact on Everleaf, due to Victory's extensive and high-profile marketing strategies and pro-player publicity. According to the independent internet poker monitoring site Pokerscout, it ranks only 22nd in real money ring game traffic with an average of around 350 to 370 daily cash game players. Cake Poker occupies a higher Pokerscout ranking at 16th, and averages 840 daily cash game players on a wider range of well known poker sites.
