Nov 08, 2010
Heads up: Duhamel and Racener The fifth casualty at the final table of World Series of Poker Main Event dropped out of the table just past midnight Las Vegas time on Nov. 7. It was favored Michael Mizrachi, who was eliminated by Jonathan Duhamel, and sent to the cashier to receive his prize of $2,332,992. Just two hands later on, another player got eliminated from the table - Filippo Candio fell after clashing with Joseph Cheong, which left him with $3,092,545. Then the competition was left to a trio comprised of Duhamel, Racener and Cheong, who will be remembered for participating in one of the most exciting points in the competition alongside Duhamel. The two clashed at the moment when Cheong held the chip lead, and the pot exceeded a WSOP record-breaking 95.05 million. Duhamel won the pot, and took over the chip lead, leaving Racener and Cheong significantly behind. Soon enough, Cheong fell to Duhamel leaving only two contestants at the table and heading to the cashier for his $4,130,049. That's when the tournament officials called it a night, and announced that the two players in the heads-up will be back on Monday evening. The two players going to the heads up for the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event are: Jonathan Duhamel (23) – currently the chip leader with 188,950,000.
