Romanello takes home EUR640,000
This week's end was marked by the end of Pokerstars.net European Poker Tour Prague Main Event, taken by Welsh poker pro, Roberto Romanello (34) in a historical win in his career so far. Namely, in the heads up he defeated Emiliano Bono, to a major prize of EUR640,000, the largest win of his career which pushed his overall poker earnings over the $1.5 million mark.
There were 563 entrants in the main event, at a Euro 5300 buy-in that created a prize pool of Euro 2 730 550. Of this number, 80 players managed to cash out, and the major wins were taken by the final table participants, namely:
