Italy Gets New Online Poker Platform

Unibet partners with Ongame's P5 Poker Engine The Italian online poker market has got a new member – released by online gambling operator Unibet on Unibet.it. The new platform offers Italian poker players Sit & Go, scheduled and multi-table poker tournaments on the Ongame P5 Poker Engine, whereas poker cash games, casino offerings and sports betting will be added in 2011. Unibet CEO Henrico Tjärnström on this occasion said: “Re-launching our operations, using our own technology and joining Ongame network is the first step of our market re-entry in Italy. With the imminent introduction of cash games, we see great value in the Italian market.” “Unibet is a well renowned brand, and we are very happy to work with them in Italy,” says Martin Lerby, Head of Ongame. “With the addition of Unibet, and later the introduction of cash games, we will see new energy coming into the Italian market both for players and operators, since we will see more products and better liquidity which will lead to increased revenues.” The cooperation between the two companies represents an extension of their partnership following Unibet's announcement that it plans to join Ongame Network France.
