Hall outplays everyone This weekend saw an exciting end of the Pokerstars Caribbean Poker Adventure, where Chris Oliver was largely expected to take the main prize, as he started the final table with a massive chip lead, which he kept to the heads up. However, there he encountered 24-year-old Galen Hall from San Francisco, who finally took the victory against the main favorite at the end of the 10 hour final table despite being 5-to-1 chips behind Oliver when the heads up started. At the final table, Oliver had a major chip lead of 13.24 million over Galen Hall, his nearest rival. The final table which decided the winner also included: Sam Stein (5,855,000); Mike Sowers (3,685,000); Anton Ionel (3,520,000); Max Weinberg (3,350,000); Bolivar Palacios (2,445,000); and Philippe Plouffe (1,555,000). The first elimination in the final table occurred after only 15 minutes, whereon the finale turned into a real battlefield for the lion's share of the $15 132 000 prize pool. This win brought young Hall, a respectable player mostly appearing on the Internet, his biggest prize so far - $2.3 million. On the other side, the runner-up Oliver took home a very respectable second prize of $1.8 million. Hall commented on his latest achievement stating that the big win will not deter him from his plans to attend Stamford Business School this year.
