France Gets New Poker Tour Series

WSOPE qualifications through Barrière Poker Tour 2011 Since the announcement of a new partnership between Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc. (CIE), Lucien Barrière Hôtels & Casinos and BarrierePoker.fr it has become clear that France will get a new poker tour series, which will begin in April in several Group Lucien Barrière casinos. The Barrière Poker Tour 2011 will be a sort of qualifying rounds for the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE), and the series will be held in Toulouse, Nice, Lille, Dinard, Enghien, Trouville and Bordeaux, with the grand finale WSOPE Presented by BarierePoker.fr being held in October, 2011 in Cannes. It was stated by Eric Cavillon, Operations Director in charge of poker development at Lucien Barrière Hôtels & Casinos: “The Lucien Barriere Hôtels & Casinos, BarrierePoker.fr and WSOP alliance allows us to put on an outstanding tournament hosted by a world famous brand in France while positioning us to become a leading operator of both online and live poker.” In addition, Deputy CEO of BarrierePoker.fr, Jean-Etienne Bouedec, commented: “Backed by this alliance, we will be even better equipped to let online players access the most prestigious world poker events in casinos and to benefit from special, unique operations in conjunction with WSOP events.”
