The latest announcement coming from World Team Poker over the weekend informed interested parties that its championship event, which should have been held from May 24 to 26 at the South Point Hotel Casino and Spa, will be rescheduled for later this summer.
According to WTP CEO Michael A. Christian, “The recent developments in online poker have had a rippling effect throughout the poker industry. World Team Poker has decided that it is in the players and World Team Poker's best interest to postpone the event until the end of the summer. This should allow the current situation with online poker to settle down and resolve itself.”
It was also specified that a new press release by World Team Poker officials will contain the rescheduled event dates.
