WSOP Europe Has A New Outing

France to host the major event Announcing a new venue, the World Series of Poker Europe organizers reported that it will this year move from London to France, where it will be hosted at Casino Barrière de Cannes. In addition, it was specified in the statement that the fifth WSOP Europe will be held for two weeks from October 7, 2011 and that it will involve seven WSOP Bracelet events. According to WSOP vice president Ty Stewart, “Our new venue in Cannes along with our new partnership with Barrière Poker will offer the best player experience we have ever had for WSOP Europe. Players will find non-stop action throughout the two-week event, plus plenty of fun distractions in Cannes to make this the perfect poker vacation.” Apart from the new venue, there are also additions to the schedule, the most exciting of which is a unique split format event, which will play Day 1 as 9-handed, Day 2 as six-handed, Day 3 as Heads-Up and the final table will be contested heads up. This event is called All-Around No Limit Hold'em Championship, and the buy in for it is at Euro 10,000 + Euro 400. The packed schedule starts with a six-handed no-limit hold'em event with a Euro 2,500 buy-in, but there are also no-limit hold'em shootouts, pot-limit Omaha events, a six-handed PLO event, and the always exciting Euro 10,000 buy-in Main Event. The tournament will also contain some non-stop cash games, as well as other events and a bevy of satellite tournaments. In addition, it will be aired throughout the world.
