Extraordinary style brings Venezuelan a hefty prize The European Poker Tour (EPT) Grand Final was held at the Casino Gran in Madrid this week, and it saw a Venezuelan poker pro, Ivan Freitez taking home the major prize of Euro 1 500 000 as well as the grand title. The "unorthodox, but effective high-stakes poker" presented at the final table culminated in a heads-up which saw Freitez face German Torsten Brinkmann. In related news, the prestigious title of EPT Player of the Year was awarded to a Portuguese businessman Fernando Brito (52) who had a consistent performance throughout Season 7.
