Pastime proclaimed illegal by presidential decree
A decree presented by President Bronislaw Komorowski of Poland has been signed into law, thereby proclaiming some forms of gambling, including online poker illegal.
As online poker is defined in the legislation as one of the "hard gambling" games, or games that are addictive or present the possibility of cheating, it has been banned. Still, tournament poker so far seems to remain a legal pastime.
Further details on the new law are to be heard soon.
