Update: Another Successful Day at WSOP

New event begins It has been a great week for a reputable poker pro Mark Schmid, who took down his first WSOP bracelet and the first prize (his sixth WSOP cash) of $488,283 in event 34: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em. In the heads-up of the event, he defeated Australian player Jason Cohen, who at the beginning had a significant chip advantage. However, this didn't help him, as Schmid's calm play led him to victory, leaving Cohen with a runner prize of $302,031. On the third day of event 35: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Six-Handed 15 players returned to fight for the bracelet and the main prize.
