Update: AGCC Suspends Full Tilt Poker’s License

All operations to be suspended immediately! The latest industry news include reports that the much troubled online poker company Full Tilt Poker has encountered yet another problem, perhaps the final one, as the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) announced suspension of the licenses of Vantage Ltd, Oxalic Ltd, Filco Ltd and Orinic Ltd, collectively trading as Full Tilt Poker. According to the suspension notice, issued along with hearing notices, Full Tilt Poker is to suspend all operations immediately. It has been specified that the suspension results from a special investigation undertaken by the AGCC due to "the indictments unsealed by US Attorney General's Office in the Southern District of New York on 15 April 2011," in which the Commission revealed indications that these licensees and their business associates were operating contrary to the Alderney legislation. "The decision to suspend the eGambling licence was in the public interest and, because of the seriousness and urgency of the matter, it required that immediate action be taken ahead of the regulatory hearing," stated Andre Wilsenach, Executive Director of Alderney Gambling Control Commission.
