Full Tilt Poker Antes Up For License

For online poker operator Full Tilt Poker the ante was in excess of £250,000 for outstanding license fees. Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) considers the license valid until the next hearing. As a result of Black Friday in April, individuals associated with Full Tilt Poker have allegedly committed serious offenses of bank fraud, money laundering and illegal gambling. In a said statement from AGCC "The AGCC, which licenses FTP, began immediate discussions with FTP's management in order to protect the interests of players," Adding that FTP's licenses were suspended on June 29th after AGCC investigations and the Commission is requiring the licensees compromising FTP to arrange guaranteed protection of identified players funds under their control. Now that outstanding licenses have been paid, AGCC notes "The recent payment of overdue licence fees by FTP is also in players' best interests since it allows commercial negotiations to take place that might result in a successful refinancing deal. "Further details regarding the exact date and venue of the next hearing will be announced as soon as possible." The valid license is the defining moment for FTP who is reportedly in negotiations with a European group of investors. It is predicted to be a positive step in the right direction by bringing capital to the company and assuring players will get paid. Kahnawake Gaming Commission confirms renewing FTP's secondary license earlier this month.
